About us

Quality Training LLP is a dedicated training department based at 402 The Ridge, Hastings. Our trainer  Tina Patten is fully qualified and regularly attends courses to update and further her knowledge.

 

We provide all mandatory training required within the Care Industry and cater for each individual’s training needs. Our training is offered in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere because we believe as a company this is the best way to learn.

 

All of our courses take place at our training office; off-site training is available if this is required. Evening classes are available at an enhanced rate. If you have any special requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us.

 

All on-site training equipment is provided along with refreshments of tea & coffee.

 

All courses include hand-outs and completion certificates.

 

All prices exclude V.A.T. Group discounts are available.

Recognising Strokes & Pressure Sores

Duration: 2 hours

 

This course covers the basic understanding of strokes, the causes and the after care. It also covers pressure sore detection and prevention.

Dementia Awareness

Duration: 5 hours

 

Our Dementia awareness course covers the basics in providing an understanding and awareness of different types of dementia.

 

Safeguarding Adults at Risk

Duration: 4 hours

 

Safeguarding adults at risk looks at the definition of abuse, understanding the different forms of abuse, recognising the signs and symptoms of abuse, legislation, policies and procedures for reporting and recording.

 

Understanding & Managing Challenging Behaviour

Duration: 6 hours

 

This course includes legislation, risk assessment, incident reporting, debriefing, continuum of aggression, understanding triggers and effective management of challenging behaviour. Also covers breakaway techniques as a practical.

 

Health & Safety Level 1

Duration: 4 hours

 

This course is intended for persons working in any environment including retail, food premises and the care environment. The course covers, understanding the importance of Health & Safety in the workplace, understanding the scope of hazards and risks in the workplace, understanding the range of workplace conditions that can effect Health & Safety and understanding the requirements for workplace procedures.

 

Health & Safety Level 2

Duration: 4 hours

 

This course is intended for anyone already in workplace and those who are preparing to start or return to work. The course covers understanding roles and responsibilities for health, safety and welfare in the workplace. Understand how risk assessments contribute to health & safety. Understand how to identify and control the risks from common workplace hazards and know the procedures for responding to accidents and incidents in the workplace.

 

Fire Safety Awareness Level 1

Duration: 4 hours 

 

This level 1 award is aimed at employees requiring an induction to the basics of fire safety. It will provide knowledge and understanding of the causes of fire, how fire risks can be controlled and safe methods of dealing with fire.

 

Fire safety Principles Level 2

Duration: 6 hours

 

This level 2 award in fire safety awareness is aimed at fire wardens or marshals as well as managers. It will provide knowledge and understanding of causes of fire, how risks can be controlled and safe methods of dealing with fires.

 

Food Hygiene 

Duration: 2 hours

 

This is a basic awareness course which covers the law within food hygiene, common bacteria’s, high risk foods, personal hygiene, hand hygiene, work surfaces, equipment and cross contamination.

 

Infection Control

Duration: 3 hours

 

This course covers legislation, policy, procedures and safe practices, infections and causes, spread of infection and effective hand hygiene.

 

Moving & Handling People (Full day)

Duration: 5 hours

 

This course covers manual handling theory, including legislation, spinal function, controversial techniques, bio mechanics, risk assessments and ergonomics. Moving & handling techniques include assisting service users with chair moves, bed moves and use of all equipment such as hoists, slings and stand aids.

 

Moving & Handling Refresher

Duration: 3 hours

 

The moving and handling refresher course is for anyone who has already completed the moving and handling full day course and wishes to update there knowledge.

 

Moving & Handling (Inanimate Objects)

Duration: 2 hours

 

This course covers relevant legislation, spinal function, bio mechanics, practical demonstrations of safer manual handling techniques and is for anyone who is required to move and handle on a daily basis.

 

Administration of Medication

Duration 4 – 5 hours

 

This course covers the legal aspects of medication, what medication is and how it works, benefits and risks, side effects, safe storage, disposal, record keeping, safe working practices, types of medication, consents, refusal and errors. This course also includes practical assessments to test competency.

 

Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF accredited)

Duration: 6 hours

This course is a one day course aimed at those that have been identified within a company risk assessment for first aid. The course will cover roles and responsibilities of a first aider, assessing an incident, recovery position, CPR, choking, serious bleeds, shock and minor injuries.

 

First Aid at Work (RQF accredited)

Duration: 18 hours

This is a three day course designed for those already working or preparing to work in an industry and have been identified within a company risk assessment for first aid. The course will cover all the subjects in our emergency first aid course with the addition of signs and symptoms of injury and illness, assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury or illness, chest injuries, spinal injuries, and anaphylaxis.

 

First Aid at Work Requalification (RQF accredited)

Duration: 12 hours

This is a two day course designed for those wishing to requalify and already hold a first aid at work qualification.
